Patient Assistance Programs

Bausch + Lomb offers a Patient Assistance Program (PAP) that provides free medication for eligible uninsured or underinsured patients for select Bausch + Lomb products, when prescribed by a licensed Healthcare professional. There is no fee to apply for or qualify for the Bausch + Lomb PAP.

Quick Tips:

  • Patient Assistance Programs (PAP) are not to be used as a tool to promote Bausch + Lomb products or increase sales.
  • Patient Assistance Programs should not be proactively discussed with providers.

Bausch + Lomb colleagues may provide certain approved information in response to an HCP’s inquiry about Bausch + Lomb’s Patient Assistance Program (PAP). Such responses should be limited to:

  • Confirming that Bausch + Lomb offers a PAP and directing the HCP on how to obtain information, for example, by calling 1 (800) 851-0758 or visiting the Patient Assistance Programs section on www.Bausch + Lomb.com. This guidance supports providers and patients in accessing physician-recommended medication and is non-promotional.

Colleagues should clarify that they do not have an active role in processing or fulfilling PAP requests. Colleagues who are not directly involved in managing Bausch + Lomb’s PAP are prohibited from:

  • Assisting HCPs or patients with the application process.
  • Making any statements regarding the potential outcome of an application.
  • Guaranteeing enrollment in the PAP.
  • Contacting the PAP to inquire about a patient’s application status.
  • Accessing any patient’s protected health information (PHI) or enrollment details.
  • Proactively sharing information about PAPs.

PAP should not be proactively discussed with providers. PAP is not to be used as a tool to promote
Bausch + Lomb products, or increase sales, or as a tool to encourage HCPs to trial Bausch + Lomb products.
